I am so very excited for 4th of July. Like always, lol! The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. I think it’s because it’s so close to my birthday. One of my favorite parts of any celebration is the food. And, Fourth of July food is definitely on the top of my list.

I love cookies. Seriously, I really love them. So, we decided to make some delicious (and simple) patriotic cookie bars!

Patriotic Cookie bar Shopping List

Cookie Dough Candy Melts
  • Cookie Dough
  • Butter

  • Patriotic Sprinkles

This recipe is so easy, it doesn’t even need a recipe card.

Begin but applying a thin coat of butter to a casserole dish. Then, add the cookie dough to the dish and flatten it out. We used two packages of pre-made cookie dough for ours.

Next, bake the cookie according to the package directions, and allow to cool in the dish.

Once it’s cool, melt the candy melts and drizzle it over the cookie. Then, add the sprinkles before the candy melts dry.

4th of July Dessert

Place the cookie in the fridge and allow to cool over night.

Finally, use a sharp knife to cut the cookie into squares and carefully remove from the pan.
