The Best Hawaiian Shave Ice Recipe
I haven’t ever been to Hawaii, but I believe this is The Best Hawaiian Shave Ice Recipe you can make at home! I love, love, love shave ice, and we make it several times a month. Thankfully, I have found several recipes for snow cone syrup to help keep my costs down.
Shave Ice
Shave Ice or Shaved Ice is similar to a snow cone, but the ice is actually shaved and super fine. It is so refreshing on a hot summer day!
Hawaiian Shave Ice has the delicious addition of sweetened condensed milk.
Our Shave Ice was the perfect addition to our Luau, and they looked absolutely ADORABLE in the Tiki Popcorn Boxes.
Make Hawaiian Shaved Ice
The first thing you will need to make a perfect shave ice is a good snow cone machine or shave ice machine. We have this one from Nostalgia, however, they have table top options too. Next, you will need to make (you can buy it too) you shave ice syrup.

Condiment Bottle (optional)
My favorite flavor is Tiger’s Blood. It’s a sweet tropical mix with a hint of coconut. We made Tiger’s Blood Shave Ice for our luau. But instead of putting the shave ice in a cup and calling it a day, we used the most adorable Tiki Boxes from Oriental Trading. We filled a small sturdy cup with shave ice, and then put the cup in the popcorn box. Finally we added the signature shave ice cone of ice to the top, and drizzled syrup and sweetened condensed milk over the whole thing. A cute little bamboo straw was the perfect way to enjoy our refreshing treats!
