This winter our family adopted a sweet old Jack Russel from an old friend’s grandmother. Initially we thought we would foster Lucy until we found her the perfect home. However, we quickly realized we already had the perfect home, and Lucy was ours. But, as I looked through her vet records, I saw that she would be celebrating a milestone birthday in March. I was determined to celebrate with a sweet little Dog Birthday Party!
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
We wanted to have a big party with our family and their fur babies, but that just couldn’t happen. So, we hosted a small party for her and dropped of little doggie bag party favor baskets. Each basket was filled with treats for the humans and the pets. The humans got bubbles and cupcakes. But, the pets got the best homemade dog treats, dog birthday cake, and small pink tennis balls.
Dog Party Supplies
Since Lucy is the only other girl in the house, I wanted to make her party as pretty and pink as possible!
I used My Mind’s Eye paper rosettes from Oriental Trading as the backdrop. I also created a cute doggie birthday banner. Then, we hung it across the top of the lemonade stand above the rosettes. Next, I decorated the front of the lemonade stand with a little felted pom garland. I picked it up on clearance after Christmas at HomeGoods.
The table was decorated with galvanized buckets with flowers. Small cake plates were topped with glasses full of treats. Then, I added human and puppy snacks.
Lucy seemed to love her 10th birthday celebration, and all of her cousins loved their doggy bags of treats.
