Homemade Ice Cream Recipe

Homemade Ice Cream Recipe.  Happy first day of Summer!  I swear it’s been all summer all the time in Florida…Each year on the first day of Summer, we have ice cream.  Sometimes for breakfast, sometimes for lunch.  This year we made homemade ice cream! 

I have an awesome little Krups ice cream maker, it makes ice cream in just a few minutes, with no salt or ice or anything strange.  Today we grabbed our little ice cream maker, and added some cream, some sugar, some milk, and chopped Cherry Man cherries and turned the machine on, in about 20 minutes, we had the most delicious summer treat ever!

[yumprint-recipe id=’50’]While the kids watched the ice cream churn, I printed up some adorable Laura Kelly Ice Cream printables and set up a little Ice Cream Shop for the kiddos.  They added whipped cream and cherries to their ice cream.  Now that the kids know how simple it is to make delicious ice cream, I foresee a lot of new ice cream flavors in our future!
