Chocolate Salted Caramel Pralines Recipe
On Saturday I mentioned how I was dreaming about the delicious Mardi Gras food…I seriously love all.the.food. Sweet treats, yep! Savory meals, you bet! But, these Chocolate Salted Caramel Pralines are hands down my favorite!
One of my very favorite treats, though, is pecan pralines! I have loved pralines for as long as I can remember, but, buying them is not all that budget friendly. So, several years ago I found an easy recipe and made my own. This year, I decided to tweak that recipe and make some AMAZING praline treats! Y’all, they are SO SO GOOD! And, best of all, I was able to make them in a snap in my kitchen with no running water and drying machines all around my feet {That is a story for another time though}.

Praline Candies:
I am a fan of Louisiana pralines, with rich heavy cream, butter, and brown sugar. There are as many varieties of praline candies as there are states in the south though. Originally, the praline was made with Almonds in France, but when the French came to Louisiana, they found that almonds were not as easy to find as pecans and the recipe was changed!
