Basketball Tournament Party

Basketball Tournament Party. I grew up playing basketball. It was my very favorite sport, and even though none of my kids play for a team, we still enjoy goofing around with our hoops. And, we ALWAYS watch the big Basketball Tournaments in March! And, of course we like to have a few friends over to watch it with us. 

Since the weather in Florida is glorious, we decided to bring a TV out back to our party deck, and set up a little watch party. A quick trip to Target and a little digging in my party prop closet yielded everything I needed to host a simple basketball tournament watch party. Since you can’t have a party without snacks and drinks, I grabbed a few boxes of RITZ® Crackers, WHEAT THINS Snacks, some OREO® Cookies, and, of course, Coca-Cola® & Coca-Cola® Zero Sugar, and some POWERADE. Once I had everything I needed for our party, I got working on the food. One of our go to recipes for parties is Roasted Corn Salsa. It is a perfect hearty dip, and tastes so good with WHEAT THINS Snacks! We decided to make some meat balls to mimic basketballs, and chocolate dipped OREO® Cookie basketballs for dessert. 

[yumprint-recipe id=’134′][yumprint-recipe id=’135′]I was able to quickly set up the party deck with our TV for the back yard (that seriously needs to be cleaned), some basketball wall decor, and, of course the food and drinks! I even set up a mini hoop and basketball on our fence for blindfolded basketball. We all had so much fun trying to make free throws with a blindfold on! 

Everyone really loved having time to come together over good food and cold drinks to watch some hoops and hang out together.
