Simple Polka Dot Garland DIY
Late last year I hosted a Polly Pockets Play Date for my niece (and my sister). Of course my sweet niece thinks every time we see her there should be a party…and who am I to let her down?
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional. These commissions help to keep the rest of my content free, so thank you!
I wanted the “party” to be fun and lighthearted. So, I made a polka dot banner style backdrop with my Cricut and sewing machine. It really made the wall pop, and it was so easy to do!
To make this big impact, but simple backdrop, you will need:
I used my Cricut to cut out a few hundred circles in various colors and sizes. The Cricut made quick work of all the cutting, and I was ready to make the backdrop in no time.
Once the circles were cut, I sewed them together with my sewing machine. From start to finish, the backdrop took about 40 minutes to make. But, there is really only a few minutes of “work” to make them.
After the circles were sewn together, I hung them on the wall using command hooks.
I used the extra circles for table scatter, and even on the party hats.

If you like this backdrop idea, you will love these!
