Harry Potter Mail Backdrop

Remember the scene in the first Harry Potter movie where Harry gets the acceptance letter to Hogwarts and his uncle doesn’t give it to him then a whole bunch come flying in until he gets them? Well I have recreated that for a treat table backdrop.

So here is how I did it…

I bought some linen envelopes (size 4×6) to use for the backdrop. I love the texture of them! Next, I created a template of Harry’s address and printed my envelopes. I used 24 because that’s how many were in the package.

Once I printed all the envelopes I tied a piece of jute around each one and attched them to pieces of fishing line. I love how the fishing line makes the envelopes look like they are floating. Finally, I hung all the letters to recreate that flying scene.
