Picnic Party Favors

Picnic Party Favors. I recently hosted a backyard picnic, and I cannot host anyone without sending them home with a small favor. And, that small favor needs to match the party theme…and, well, I swear I am the living version of the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie…in the midst of picnic planning, I thought ti would be adorable to send the guests home with hard to find, bottled sodas…you know those couldn’t just be in the 6 pack carrier, right? So I painted the carriers…but they needed something…of course they did!

I love wandering the aisles of World Market, and on a recent trip, I found bottled Shirley Temples…the classic drink of childhood! So, I filled the bottle carriers with Shirley Temples, and happily wandered to the check out with a cart full of fun sodas! Originally, I thought I would serve these at the picnic, but then I thought they would be fun party favors, to kind of extend the celebration.

I removed the bottles from the carriers, and painted them all white. {spray paint made quick work of this job} While I waited for the paint to dry, I cut the Lawn Fawn Gotta Have Gingham Papers into quarters, and ran them through my Xyron Creative Station. Next, I used three paper punches to punch a large and small white card stock circle, as well as a medium gingham paper circle for each box. I ran each circle through the Creative Station, and layered them; large, medium, small. Next, I used my cute little Lawn Fawn Happy Summer Stamps and added embellishments to the top circle.
