Easy Halloween Treats
I don’t know about you all, but I swear to all the things, I blink and the entire month of September is gone. Then, I blink again and I am desperately trying to get my act together to get Halloween treats for the boys’ classmates. So, I make an honest effort to get the DIY part of the class Halloween treats made in September. Then, all I have to do is add the actual treat.
DIY Class Treats
When my oldest son was in pre-school I made treats for his classmates for each holiday. As the boys grew, they helped make the treats. It was always one of my favorite things to do with the kids.
The last few years, it has been a little different for us. My youngest is in middle school now, so it’s not cool to bring cutesy treats to everyone in your class. However, they will all always take treat bags of candy for their friends.
Halloween Treat Bags
Halloween treat bags are easy to purchase and fill with candies. But, then you miss out on the bonding time with your kiddos. I created a fun printable Halloween Treat Bag that can be printed at home, cut out, and assembled in less than 2 minutes!
Halloween Treat Supplies
Print the Halloween bags. There are two on each 8.5×11″ sheet of paper.
Cut out each bag. You can use pinking sheers to cut the zig-zag top, or just cut a straight line across the top if you don’t want to cut each zig zag.
Fold the bag.
Use the Xyron Mega Runner to apply adhesive to the edge of the short side flap, and the bottom flap of the bag.
Fill with candies or gum balls. I love to use Color It Candy for class treats, it is made in a nut free facility, so it’s allergy friendly. Plus, it comes in a variety of colors that are perfect for every occasion.
Fold the top of the bag and secure with more adhesive, tape, or ribbon.
