DIY Stocking Stuffers

resin dominoes
Resin

Every year on New Year’s Eve our family plays board games as we snack on junk food. It an annual tradition that we started when our boys were young, and it has become one of our favorite activities during Winter Break. And, every year, the boys get a fun new game to add to the game closet. This year, they are all getting custom domino DIY stocking stuffers.

Stocking Stuffers

Stocking stuffers are always my biggest struggle. I want to fill the boys’ stockings with thoughtful gifts the boys will use and enjoy.

These DIY dominoes were SO much fun to make! Ive never used resin products before, so I was a little nervous. But, now I’m hooked! I want to make all the resin things.

You will only need a few supplies and a few working minutes to make these fun custom dominoes.

DIY Resin Supplies
  • IntoResin
  • Mica Powder Pigment for Epoxy Resin
  • Domino Resin Mold

This project was super easy and so much fun to make. I decided to make several sets of dominoes for my boys. I made a black set, a gold set, a clear set, and a mixed set.

First measure out the liquid epoxy resin parts. Use a 1:1 ratio. Then, add mica powder to color the resin. Stir with a disposable spoon or popsicle stick. Be sure to mix it well.

Next, carefully pour the resin mixture into the molds. You can add sequins, flowers, or anything else once the resin is in the molds. This resin is self-leveling, so you don’t need to do anything to it after you pour it.

DIY Dominoes

Allow the resin to harden overnight for 24 hours. Once the resin has fully hardened, you can remove the dominoes from the mold.

Now, the dominoes can be placed in a bag and placed in stockings.
