Spring Party Favor DIY
My Thrifty Sister shared so many fabulous ideas and DIY’s in her Books and Brunch party in the Spring 2014 issue of Everyday Party Magazine, I was compelled to share them all on the website too, so that you could pin them!
Today’s post is a two for one post! Cindy sent her guest home with a favor she had already made, as well as one that they all made together after enjoying their brunch.
Notepad Favor DIY
Supplies:
legal paper
card stock
hole punch
ribbon, lace, or burlap
sandpaper
pencil
Cut legal size paper into four columns. Cut card stock to fit the paper and use sand paper along the edge of a hard corner for that denim seam look. Punch two holes at the top of all paper and thread ribbons, lace or burlap to secure. Tie on pencil. Leave for each guest to write notes, contacts and thoughts about our book.
Wire Bird DIY
Supplies:
wire hanger
thin wire
assorted buttons
needle nose pliers.
Cut curve off hanger and straighten wire.
Use bird shape to see where to bend wire.
Cut off excess for legs and feet and make a tight curl to close wires together.
Wrap thin wire around the body of the bird and thread buttons on wire. Continue back and forth adding assorted size buttons. Wrap wire ends around bird and use pliers to help with sharp edges.
Fold bird feet and legs attach to bird body.
