Panda Painting Party With Social Artworking

Panda Painting Party With Social Artworking

We recently hosted my nephew’s birthday party, it was a fun time with lots of his friends. My niece and nephew recently discovered Kung Fu Panda in our movie library. When my nephew saw the Social Artworking Pandas, he immediately asked for a Kung Fu Panda Painting Party. I will admit, it was a challenge to find decor and favors for his party, but his face when he saw the party was worth all the work!

This review is based strictly on my opinion.  Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed.  I was provided the sample free of charge and paid a small fee by the company or PR agency and I provided my honest opinion.

Host a Social Artworking Party

Social Artworking parties are so much fun, for artists of all ages and abilities. There are over 100 designs to choose from, with designs for children and adults. There is literally a design for everyone! Once you decide on a design, you choose the supplies you will need. The supplies are all very good quality, so you can definitely re-use the easels, paint brushes, and even some of the pieces from the pattern pack. Additionally, you will likely have plenty of paint left over for future projects. I have hosted several Social Artworking parties, and everyone has always had a blast!

You can order the Panda Bear designs here. You can find the rest of the Social Artworking Designs here.

Have a Panda Party

I asked my talented son to help me with the clipart for this party. He drew the sweetest panda, and I used it to create an invitation, a party banner, food tents, and party circles. My nephew loves the color red, so I kept the colors simple, and used red, black, and white for most of the party colors.

Since the party guests ranged in age from five to twelve, I wanted the painting to be done outside. I covered our long farm style table with a disposable red table cloth. I used veggie cans for water to clean the paint brushes, and to make them match the party, we wrapped them in paper and added a party circle. Paper plates were the perfect paint pallets. Since everything was disposable, clean up was a breeze! My son was the perfect painting helper during the party.

My son and I decorated our party deck to match the party. We used an inexpensive bamboo fence as the backdrop. We added a fake bamboo leaf garland and the printable banner to the back to add a pop of color. Before the party, my son painted a panda canvas, so we used that as the centerpiece on the table. We added bamboo lanterns, potted plants, and take out boxes with party favors on each side of the table. Finally, we added jade and ceramics from China to the table near the painting.

We decided to keep most of the food inside for the party, but we did have some easy finger foods for the kids to nibble on while they painted. To make store bought fortune cookies match the party, we added party circle stickers to the packaging and placed them in a jar with a ribbon and one flag from the printable banner.

Panda Party Food

Before the party, I made a huge amount of fried rice. I bought remade orange chicken, and egg rolls, and heated them in the oven before the guests arrived. I used a warming pan to keep the food warm through out the party. You can’t have a party without cake! I purchased a simple white cake, and added the most adorable Kung Fu Panda style cake topper.
