Lunar New Year Treat
Ever since my boys were little we have celebrated the Chinese New Year. One of my husband’s colleagues invited us to their annual celebration, and we loved it! Over the years, we lost touch with that colleague, but the kids still really like to celebrate the holiday. Even if we don’t have professional fire works and dancing dragons like the parties we went to had, the boys still enjoy getting a fun Lunar New Year Treat.

Our family tradition:
Each Chinese New Year I prepare a small treat for the boys, and we enjoy a delicious Chinese dinner. This year, the Lunar New Year is on Tuesday, February 5th. I worked on the boys treats this week while they were all in school.
Make the treats:
I made small Chinese food take out boxes with my Cricut and filled them with fun Chinese candies from World Market. I also picked up some special chopsticks for each of the boys, and their favorite Ramen while I was at World Market.
Supplies:
Step 1:
Open this cut file and prepare your cutting mat to cut the project.
Step 2:
Score and cut the paper.
Step 3:
Remove the excess paper and fold the box.
Step 4:
Fill with small trinkets or candies and secure the top closed.
Happy New Year! Always welcome the new morning with a new spirit, a smile on your face, love in your heart and good thoughts in your mind.
