Hot Cocoa Party

Since the chilly weather is sticking around for a while, I decided to have a little after school hot cocoa “party” for the boys. My youngest son will drink hot cocoa, not matter what the weather is like, so Santa brought all of the boys a warming milk frother. It perfectly warms the milk and froths it just like fancy coffee shops!

The Table

One afternoon, just before school got out, I warmed up a few pitchers of milk in the frother. Once the milk was warm and frothy, I poured it into some vintage style thermoses. I placed the thermoses on a table next to the fire place. The milk stayed at the perfect temp as my boys rolled in from school, and it was easy to refill the the thermoses as I needed to.

I filled my wooden three tiered tray with a variety of cocoa toppings, and decor. Next to the tray, I added a flocked evergreen tree, and a few canisters of hot cocoa. {Totally not sponsored; Williams Sonoma has the very best hot cocoa mix. It is literally shaved chocolate!} My wooden tiered tray was decorated with plaid decor, disposable hot beverage cups, a DIY hot cocoa sign, and maybe a few mini bottles of the adults favorite hot cocoa add in, Jackson Morgan Cream.

Since my kids are always ravenous after school, I put out a tray of cookies for the boys to nibble on while they sipped their cocoa and did their homework.

Stay Cozy

Finally, I set a small table next to the fireplace and I filled a small bucket with cozy blankets. I wanted the blankets to be toasty and warm, without putting them in the dryer, and this definitely did the trick!
