I recently had the opportunity to partner with two of my favorite local companies. And, I cannot wait to share all of the amazing shoots I worked on with them. This sweet watermelon party is the first of nearly a dozen I have to share this Summer.
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Watermelon
As any good Southern girl should, I love watermelon on a hot summer day! I’ve even been known to bring a fresh watermelon to parties as a hostess gift! (Check out this One in a Melon Summer Hostess Gift post)
Even though I have shared a lot of sweet watermelon posts, I don’t believe I have ever styled a watermelon party before.
Here are a few of my favorite sweet melon post ideas!
Watermelon Party
The Traveling Tap recently added this adorable vintage style ice cream bike to their collection. And, I am as in love with it as I am everything else they have to offer! I thought a watermelon party would be a fun way to show off this cute little cart.
I started with a 16′ long balloon garland from Amazon. And, I just used ribbon to hang it from my fence. Then, it was time to decorate the ice cream bike. I used the pink and white umbrella that comes with the cart to provide some shade for our party table. Next, I draped a red bead garland in front of the bike. Finally, I added two small melons to the bike’s rear shelf, and I tossed a few mini watermelon balls (also from Amazon) on the ground around the bike.
Of course we had to have watermelon for our party. But, we also had yummy pink macarons and fresh fruit popsicles. A watermelon cake would have been adorable too.
I used some tiered tray decor from Nook and Cranny to add more sweet decorations to the cart too. Their mini signs were the perfect finishing touches to our party table!
If you enjoyed this party, you will love these parties too!
