Flamingo Pool Party
Like everyone, I really love my flamingo pool floats! We have a big one, a few smaller ones, and a couple that hold drinks. I could spend hours in the pool on my floats, just enjoying the warm summer breezes. But, it’s more fun to have friends over to enjoy the time in the pool with! So, I invited a few of my friends over to flamingle and indulge in flocktails for a flamingo party. It was so fun, it will now be held every May the weekend before Memorial Day!

Since the party was poolside, I really didn’t want to invest too much money on decorations. I gathered up some of the tropical decor I have at home, and placed it on a small side table on the deck near the pool. I placed beautiful bamboo lanterns on the deck stairs and in front of the table. The deck is surrounded by tropical plants, so I gathered them up and placed them on one side to help fill in the area behind the table. I added a flamingo watering can for a pop of color and whimsy in front of the table too.
Flamingo Party Foods
I knew we wouldn’t spend a lot of time outside of the pool, so I wanted to have hand held snacks for my guests. Before the party, I made a quick trip to the grocery store to gather bite sized snacks, fresh fruit, and juice and champagne.
Just before the guests arrived, I placed small cupcakes in an acrylic tray with pink iced cookies and tropical candies. Each cupcake was topped with miniature pink yard flamingos. Adorable pink and gold flamingo plates, cups, and napkins from Soirée by Ria matched the party perfectly!
We all sipped on delicious Flocktails. After we were done in the pool, we enjoyed some margarita watermelon slices and champagne infused pineapples. (Look for those recipes on the blog soon!)
Many thanks to Soirée by Ria for the adorable Pink Flamingo Party Supplies!
