If I drink when I go out, I will usually order a rum punch drink. I like a light rum mixed with a fruity mixer. Shhh, truthfully, I really love those buckets of all the rum and whatever fruity drink mixer they throw in at pool and beach side bars. So, with that in mind, I decided to mix up some rum punch and create the best rum punch popsicle recipe!
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Make an Alcoholic Popsicle
The most important thing to remember when you make alcoholic ice pops is the percentage of alcohol in your mix. So, if you are using an alcoholic mix in with a high amount of alcohol, you will need to add more fruit punch, lemonade or whatever you choose to lower the overall alcohol content of the boozy popsicles.
I shared more in the Easy Margarita Popsicle post I shared recently.
The Best Rum Punch Popsicle Recipe Ingredients
I have a ton of freezer popsicle bags, fruit punch, and rum at home. But, if you don’t order what you need and get busy making the best rum punch freeze pop ever!
- Fruit Punch – I use Simply Fruit, but you could your favorite brand too
- Coconut Rum or other light rum
- Amazon Link – Freeze Pop Bags
Begin by mixing a 3 to 1 ratio of fruit punch to rum in a cup or glass. You can certainly add fresh sliced fruit pieces too, just slice it small enough to fit in the ice pop bags or popsicle molds.
Next, use a funnel to pour the mix into the freezer pop bags. Then, place the popsicles in the freezer overnight. Or, surprise some friends and drop them off in a small cooler!
