One of my favorite things about the holidays are the scents…I love the smell of cinnamon, cookies baking in the oven, fresh Christmas trees…so when I found a family recipe for mulled spice syrup, I wanted to give it a try just to have the smell wafting through my house! I was not disappointed, it smelled heavenly. I am super excited to bottle some up and give it as gifts with some apple cider or even bottles of wine. (And I think I may make some marshmallows with it) I was prompted to look for old family recipes when Peapod reached out to me. Peapod is a fabulous grocery delivery service. I know I can use all the extra help I can get any time of the year, but especially during the holidays! You can even order groceries from their app on your phone…hello car circle line!
I was able to order all of the ingredients from my Peapod app for just under $35…but I may have over ordered. I seriously grocery shopped in my bed, in my pj’s, it was glorious! Sign up for Peapod and get $15 off of your first order too!
Once I had my supplies, I got to work. I tweaked the recipe a little to make it more my own.
