I know I have shared a few pictures and videos of my she shed on social media, and even in this DIY Oversized Sign Post. Obviously, a new space needs decorations. But, we broke the bank to build my she shed, so all of the decorations need to be really affordable. And, this cute Dollar Tree Spring Craft is perfect!
Dollar Tree Projects
I love to visit my local Dollar Tree for supplies to make holiday crafts and even party favors.
This March Madness Party Basket is one of my favorite party favor ideas. If your little baller has a party coming up, be sure to visit the Dollar Tree before Easter to grab some of these basketball hoop baskets.
This cute little Golf Party Favor Tag was perfect for the Dollar Tree golf club set I picked up!
Dollar Tree Spring Craft
This cute little crate is perfect for holding treats and candies. And, while it is darling on its own, I thought I could add a little something to make it more springy. So, I also bought some tissue paper, Mod Podge, and a few little Easter decorations to add to it.
First, lightly paint the crate with white craft paint.
Once the paint has dried, paint a heavy coat of Mod Podge on the sides and bottom of the crate. Then, carefully stick the tissue paper on the crate. Make sure you smooth out the tissue paper to avoid bubbles and wrinkles.
Use a craft knife to cut off the excess tissue paper on the top. Then, fold the excess tissue paper onto the bottom of the crate like you are wrapping a gift.
Next, add one or two coats of Mod Podge on top of the tissue paper.
Finally, fill it with candies or other Spring goodies!
If you enjoyed this post, you will love these too!
