Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas. Do you host Thanksgiving dinner? We do every year. I love it! My very favorite thing to do is feed my family and loved ones. Seriously, I love welcoming everyone into my home to share a meal.
Our house doesn’t have a formal dining room, just a great room with our kitchen, living room, and a small dining area. It’s intimate and cozy, aka really small. But, it works for us, and when we have a lot of guests, we spread out and eat around our large kitchen island. Even though we can’t all fit at the same table for meals, I do like to set the table seasonally.
This holiday, I ordered hostess supplies from Oriental Trading Company. My kids will be THRILLED to see that I ordered gold rimmed plastic plates! I also ordered a tiered serving tray that will work well for pre-meal snacking or even post meal desserts. It wouldn’t be my table if there wasn’t at least one DIY element, so, of course, I have some DIY projects too, including simple place cards.
Since we aren’t all at the same table, I like to keep the table decor to a minimum. I added a paisley table runner on our farm style table. I the table runner with my ceramic pumpkin bowl, candle sticks, and tiered serving tray. I added a few gold geometric terrariums filled with mini pumpkin potpourri and flameless candles.
Each guest has a wooden pumpkin place setting. I set the table with disposable tableware, including inexpensive napkins. The napkins may be my favorite DIY to date! I started with a plain white napkin and I used my Cricut EasyPress to add Cricut Iron-On Foil to each napkin! I.am.not.kidding! So great, right?
We are just about ready for our big Thanksgiving feast! How do you celebrate?
