Rustic Glam Christmas Party

Rustic Glam Christmas Party. I am a firm believer in mom time…no kids, no spouses, no jobs, etc. I have a small group of mom friends that I try to get together with regularly. When we get together, we enjoy yummy food, adult beverages, and always a good time! This time we decided to go see Bad Moms Christmas, so we all met at my house before the movie and enjoyed a nice brunch.I am so very much in love with Buffalo Plaid, and it will never go out of style in my mind…so, when I saw all the fantastic buffalo plaid decor available at Oriental Trading Company, I knew I had to have it. In fact, I am fairly sure I will host several more holiday parties with these supplies and decor!

I wanted our gathering to be informal, but nice. I pre-made several treats before our brunch. The table was set with a loosely placed buffalo plaid piece of fabric, my tiered serving tray, and my rustic candlesticks. Sweet bottle brush trees were placed on the table around some of the treats. I made a delicious apple streusel bread cake in my cast iron dish, and placed it on a simple white cake plate. Mini pies were stacked on a smaller white cake plate and on a bees waxed wood disc. A drink dispenser was filled with hot cocoa. The tiered serving tray had semi homemade caramel cream sugar cookie swirls (recipe next week), vanilla scones, and buffalo plaid coffee cups. Each of the moms took a flask home with them. (Look for that DIY soon) Have you seen the new Bad Moms Movie? I loved it!
