When I was a little girl my Mimi would send us a card with a shamrock and money for shamrock shakes every year. I was always so excited to get those cards! Trips to McDonalds were a big treat, and Shamrock Shakes were my favorite. So, I like to do something similar for my niece and nephew. This year I am dropping off a St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold for the kids (and my mom and sister).
f you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
St. Pat’s Treats
Because of my love for St. Paddy’s Day, we start celebrating early. In fact, we have enjoyed this Easy Rainbow Waffle Recipe for St. Patrick’s Day several times in the past few weeks.
And, I have already made myself a new shirt with this St. Patrick’s Day SVG – Shamrock Clusters.
St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold
I mentioned I wanted to make a sweet little treat for my niece, nephew, mom, and sister for St. Pats, and this little St. Patrick’s Day Pot of Gold will be perfect!
I found a green cauldron at the local party store, and then I filled it with gold coin candies, plastic gold coins, and other goodies for everyone. It’s similar to this one on Amazon (affiliate link).
The bucket held a few larger cans of Guinness for the adults, as well as two single serve bowls of Lucky Charms, a small Irish flag, a bandana for my mom’s dog, and some fun St. Paddy’s Day sunglasses.
And, while it’s not the type of celebration we normally have, it is still a great way to show that we care. I will probably even do something similar, but smaller for our neighbors.
