Fiesta At Home

We love taco night! And, Friday nights are family dinner night. My mom comes over for dinner and then we cruise through the ‘hood in our golf cart. Recently, we decided to have a little fiesta for our Friday night dinner night…and, it did not disappoint! The boys were so excited to walk out to the dining room and see it transformed into a fun Fiesta at Home!

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

We are no strangers to at home fiestas! Last year at the beginning of lockdown, my youngest son just wanted dinner from one of his favorite Mexican restaurants. At the time, it was closed, even for take out. So, we did our best to recreate the restaurant and the food for his birthday, you can see more of our Cinco de Mayo Party at Home in this post!

One of my favorite celebrations was this Tacos and Tequila Cinco de Mayo Party though!

Before our Friday night Fiesta, I ran to the grocery store to buy all the food and decor. Life has been really crazy, so I wanted our fiesta to be fun, but really stress free! At the store, I grabbed some Mexican sodas, Topo Chico waters, Cervezas, fresh fruit, fresh flowers, and a cake. Then, when I got home, I shopped the house for a few more decorations.

Teared Tray Dinner Table

My husband and I tied up some colorful banners above the table. Then, I got busy adding all of the food and decorations. I filled our teared tray with fresh fruit and veggies. Then, I added flowers, buckets with sodas, a basket with some beers, some cactus, and a few candles to the table.

Of course the table looked great, but the main event was the food! I set up a build your own taco bar on our kitchen island, and everyone ate their fill.

Our Friday Night Fiesta at Home was the perfect way to kick off the weekend, and we are already looking forward to our next themed dinner night!
