Peanuts Thanksgiving Play Date

Peanuts Thanksgiving Play Date. Halloween is done…and my house is partially decorated for Christmas, but we cannot forget about Thanksgiving. Is there anything better than a full Thanksgiving meal? I always feel like Joey from Friends on Thanksgiving, but I LOVE it! My kids love this time of year because they can watch Peanuts specials on repeat. I even bought all of them on Apple TV just so the kids could watch them whenever they wanted.
While watching the Peanuts Thanksgiving special with my little one, I had an idea. I thought it would be fun to surprise my boy and a few friends after school with a Peanuts Thanksgiving Play Date. The kids could play football in the back yard, and snack on a feast fit for the Peanuts gang, finally, the boys could watch the Peanuts Thanksgiving Special.
Before the party, I ordered party supplies from Oriental Trading Co. I ordered a package of felt pilgrim hats for the kids, but I used them as place settings for the party. I also ordered a Thanksgiving party banner (use two people to hang this, trust me), some Peanuts plates and napkins, and a roll of Peanuts Thanksgiving stickers.
The morning of the party, I spray painted the outside of inexpensive plastic bowls silver, and placed them on simple white chargers and filled them with popcorn like Snoopy did in the cartoon. Snack was just like Snoopy’s feast; toast, jelly beans, popcorn, and pretzels. The table was covered with a corner knotted sheet like the cartoon.
The kids cracked up when they saw their afternoon snack and they all really enjoyed their afternoon of playing football, eating snacks, and watching Peanuts Thanksgiving!
