Holiday Decorating with At Home Stores. The holiday season is probably my very favorite time of year. I love the feeling that you get when you walk into a home that is decorated in twinkling lights and festive colors. Because of this, I try to decorate every room in my home for the holidays. Obviously, my main focus is our great room, and fireplace area. This year, I had the opportunity to work with At Home Stores. {find your local store here} Before this opportunity, I had never even been into an At Home Store, so, this was the PERFECT reason to go check it all out! Omgosh, y’all, I walked into a winter wonderland! It was a literal feast for my eyes! I wandered each aisle taking in all of the sights of the holidays. My cart was quickly full, and I checked out. My husband groaned a little, thinking the bill would be double or more what we paid. He was so pleasantly surprised to hear the total!
As soon as we got home, I began to decorate. I know I will add more decor throughout the season, but it makes my heart smile to walk into our great room right now! We are party ready, and I love it!The fireplace mantel was decorated with metal lanterns filled with inexpensive bulk ornaments from At Home Stores, the other side was decorated with galvanized metal buckets. One had a holiday scented candle in it, and the other was filled with cranberry floral picks from At Home Stores. Next to the fireplace, on the hearth, I added our blanket ladder with warm cozy blankets, including my new favorite red one from At Home. I brought out small Christmas trees to place next to the hearth as well. One tree was wrapped in twinkle lights, and the other was wrapped in a sweet sewing spool garland, also from At Home. An apple bucket with faux berries and pinecones sat next to the smaller tree. Under the larger tree is another cozy blanket and a throw pillow with a vintage style truck on it from At Home. On the opposite side of the fireplace, I filled our wood bucket with more twinkle lights, and added a vintage family camera to the hearth. Above the mantel, I hung the most darling vintage style candy cane sign. I loved it as soon as I saw it at the store, and I knew it had to come home with me, and for just $20, it was an amazing deal! Next to our fireplace, we have two industrial style shelves. We keep an older chair under the shelves for extra throw pillows and blankets. The reindeer food pillow was another must have from At Home too! The top shelf was decorated with a beautiful prelit wreath from At Home, and a simple vintage style lantern. The bottom shelf had another lantern, candlesticks, and apothecary jars filled with candy canes and a simple snow scene. Would you believe me if I told you I only spent about $100 for EVERYTHING I bought from At Home Stores?! I totally did! Even my hubby was excited! I cannot wait to go back again soon!!
