Soccer Viewing Party

Soccer Viewing Party. As the wife of a former soccer player and coach, it should come as no surprise that we watch a LOT of soccer…like a LOT. It doesn’t matter who the teams are, my hubby just wants to watch the games. Since his birthday is quickly approaching, I decided to host a small party in our back yard for him and a few friends.Since our weather is truly perfect right now, I thought it would be more fun to have the party on our back deck. I just brought out a TV from one of the bedrooms, and set it up on the counter. I ~~wanted~~ needed the party to be easy, so I made a quick run to the local party store and gathered a few supplies. I found the fun soccer banner, pennant flags, cups, plates, napkins, soccer ball candies, soccer buckets, and mini soccer balls and trophies for our party space. Next, I shopped my garage! I pulled out some of our old practice balls and mini nets, and a roll of astroturf {yeah, I have no idea how long I have held on to that, LOL} Finally, I printed up the football party package from our shop and used the Game Day flags, and pennant flags to add a little more color to our party space.

Once I had all of my party supplies, I quickly decorated the space. I tacked the astroturf to the counter top, and filled the mini nets with practice soccer balls. Then, I hung the banners, and pennant flags where I wanted them and had the hubs set up the TV out back. While he worked on that, I ran to Wendy’s {find your local Wendy’s here} to order his favorite drinks and some food for the party.

Wendy’s Signature drinks and Bacardi brands are the perfect pair! We paired the Strawberry Passionfruit FruiTea Chillers® with Bacardi Dragonberry, Bacardi Limon, and or Grey Goose Original. My fav was the Strawberry Passionfruit FruiTea Chillers® with Bacardi Dragonberry! We also had Wendy’s All Natural Lemonade with Grey Goose Original, Bacardi Raspberry, and or Bombay Sapphire. I really liked the Lemonade with the Bacardi Raspberry and the Bombay Sapphire! I loved that we were able to offer amazing Signature drinks for our party with next to no effort. I can assure you that I will do this again for parties in the future. I have a friend that turned us on to Bacardi brand drinks recently, and I love the smooth flavors. BACARDI rum is the world’s favorite and most awarded rum, it’s no wonder it is one of the 10 most popular drinks. We added some Grey Goose Vodka and Bombay Sapphire Gin to our bar area as well. Grey Goose is known as the world’s best vodka; with French ingredients that provide a rich, full flavor. Bombay Sapphire Gin is a new favorite drink in our house. Each bottle is crafted with 10 hand selected botanicals from exotic locations across the world. This flavor profile creates a fresh clean beverage that is perfect for creating mixed drinks.

While I was at Wendy’s I purchased some Dave’s Singles®, 4 piece Chicken Tenders, and a family size bowl of Chili. Once I got home with all the food, the hubs and I enjoyed a cup of Strawberry Passionfruit FruiTea Chillers® and All-Natural Lemonade with our favorite Bacardi {of course} while we finished setting up the party space.

We were able to put this whole party space together in just under two hours including shopping time! I love a simple party, especially when it looks this good, and celebrates someone I love so much!
