I Like You Like Cocoa Likes Marshmallows Valentine’s Day Gift. My little one is not one to say he loves many people. He likes a few, loves even less, and he hates when I ask him to sign his name next to something that says love on it. So, gifts for people he likes (or even just tolerates, like some of his teachers) can be a challenge, especially for Valentine’s Day.
This year, he really likes his core teacher, and he asked if we could do something a little special for her. When we give gifts from the boys as a family, we like to incorporate their likes as well as what the recipient likes. Right now, Tate is on a Hot Cocoa kick. He doesn’t care that it is 80* in Florida, he wants hot cocoa. So, when I saw that I could customize Valentine’s Cocoa Cans from Zazzle, I knew that would be his teacher gift. I just customized the text on the can wrappers to say, I Like You Like Cocoa Likes Marshmallows, and in a few days, the cocoa was at my front door! His teacher loves homemade marshmallows, so I will add those to the gift, but I want Tate to help make them for her.
To complete the gift, we grabbed a few mugs from the Dollar Tree and added some Cricut Outdoor Vinyl X’s and O’s to it. The font is Hensa, if you want to create your own cocoa mug. (Here is the cut file) I had Tate add the vinyl letters to the mugs. It is literally just like putting a sticker on a cup. I weeded the excess vinyl of the backing, leaving just the x’s and o’s and he pulled off the letters and stuck them on the mugs!
If you aren’t up for making your own marshmallows, you could add some Jet Puffed mini marshmallows to a cello bag and tie it with a sweet little pink bow too.
This is such an easy, but thoughtful gift for teachers, coaches, friends, or family. The cans would also be so sweet as wedding favors! We used them as party favors for our Hot Cocoa Party too.
