Circus Party

Circus Party Table

Circus Party

STEP RIGHT UP!!! As a little girl I loved the movie Dumbo. I was so excited when my parents would rent a VCR and Disney movies when I was a kid. Needless to say, I’m beyond excited to see the new version of Dumbo. I also loved the circus, growing up in central Florida, we drove past Circus World a lot, and I celebrated one awesome birthday there. My boys did not grow up loving the circus or Dumbo, so I never threw them a circus party.

Circus Party Table

Host a circus themed birthday party:

This party was pretty easy to put together, a lot of the party supplies and decor came from the Dollar Tree and Target!

Circus Party Decorations:

I really wanted the backdrop to feel like a circus tent, so I used three plastic table cloths to create a tent on the wall. Then, I used my Cricut Maker to create the CIRCUS text and hung it on the wall with ticky tack. I added red and white pom pom garland to the front of the table, and I used real peanuts, candy circus peanuts, and safari animal toys to decorate the rest of the table and even the cake! It wouldn’t have been a circus party without a circus train, so I pulled out my circus train valentine’s card box and added it to the table too.

Instead of using a cake plate, I placed a simple white cake on a red bucket from the Dollar Tree. I added a cute plastic elephant on top of the cake to add a little more circus flair. I added simple white cake plates on each side of the cake, but topped them with a ringmaster’s top hat on one. The other cake plate had circus cookies and loose peanuts.

Circus Party Food:

I wanted to keep the food relatively simple for this shoot, but you could totally go all out and include all the circus foods. A simple white cake sat on a red bucket to mimic a circus animal stand. Since it was just a plain cake, I added a cute little toy elephant to the top.  Peanuts were used as table scatter and snacks for this shoot, both real and candy circus peanuts. And, a circus birthday party isn’t a real circus party without circus animal cookies!

Finally, I whipped up some cream pies perfect for the clowns! Boozy Banana Cream Pies are the prefect treat for the 21 and up kids at a circus themed party!
