Every year for as long as I can remember, I have wanted Holiday Carolers to knock on our door. Last year, it finally happened…and I wasn’t home! I cannot even begin to tell you how upset I was to miss them. So, this year, instead of hoping for some to come to me, I am gathering up a few of my friends and family and we are going through the neighborhood to share the magic! I am so very excited for our first ever holiday caroling party!
Host a Caroling Party
I plan on hosting our caroling party in a few weeks, but I wanted to style the party before hand, so I am fully prepared before we head out to sing holiday carols.
Of course, I will feed all of the carolers before the party, but, nothing too heavy. And, I’ll have plenty of ice cold Coca-Cola® on ice for our choir! I grabbed some of the adorable new Polar Bear Coca-Cola® 16.9 oz 6- packs and 2 Liter bottles from my local Walmart Store. You can click the image below to add it to your shopping cart, how’s that for easy? While I was at the store, I picked up supplies to make my semi famous mini meatballs, macaroni and cheese, and a delicious cheese tray.
Prepare for the Party
We plan to meet our carolers outside. I thought it would be nice to decorate our lemonade stand with holiday lights and garland. Then, I gathered some of our holiday decor and a tiered tray for the table top. I added a few vintage looking skis and a sled in front of the decorated lemonade stand.
Once I decided to host a caroling party, I started to work on the song list. After I decided on all of the songs, I created a printable with the list and lyrics for each song. You can download it from the shop here, use the code CAROLER to download it free.
Caroling Party Menu
I want all of our food to be bite sized or easy to grab and eat on the go. Some of my kids aren’t too excited about joining the caroling party, so they will stay home and warm the food for everyone to grab as we walk past our house as we sing. They will also make sure there is plenty of Coca-Cola® on ice in our vintage cooler.
Mini meatballs are a favorite at our house, and they are easy to grab and eat quickly. I’ll also make macaroni and cheese in cupcake liners. Finally, I’ll put together a charcuterie tray with meats, cheeses, olives, pomegranate seeds, and more. Since I want this party to be perfect, I pre-set the whole table to make sure everything would fit, and work well together. And, everything but the charcuterie tray can be frozen until the party and just reheated before everyone arrives!
