apple macarons
Mindy from Creative Juice shares adorable and delicious apple macarons and the link for the caramel apple pie filling recipe as well! These macarons would be a perfect teacher treat, after school play date snack {for the moms of course, because I have my kids convinced that macarons are really nasty so I don’t have to share}, or even a Fall party! If you haven’t ordered Mindy’s book, Macarons, what are you waitng for??!! Thank you, Mindy, for sharing!

with caramel apple pie filling!
From Mindy
its no secret that i love macarons. i became obsessed ages ago and have been on a macaron quest since then. this apple macaron was one of the reasons i wrote my book! if you have never made macarons, you can try your hand at these tricky treats by following my DIY GUIDE TO MACARONS post. OR — just by my book on creative macarons (which includes this design!). you can check out my other fun and creative macarons here as well.
to make the shell: pipe red macaron batter into an apple shape. i use a template to do this (just create a document on your computer with apple outlines -or if you already own my book, just open the file on the acompanying CD- print the template and place it under your parchment paper). Pipe, rest, bake, and then fill with the caramel apple pie filling below. i used a pretzel stick for the stem and green candy melts to create the leaf. adorable huh?!!!
