Easy Earth Day Activity
Earth Day is just around the corner, and while I try to be a good steward of the Earth everyday, I do try a little more on Earth Day. This year, I am passing out little seed pods to my friends and neighbors. This Earth Day activity is super easy, and it’s a GREAT way to use left over tissue paper and paper towel tubes.
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional. These commissions help to keep the rest of my content free, so thank you!
What is Earth Day?
Earth Day is a worldwide celebration, to support environmental protection. Originally started in 1969 in California, it was celebrated on the Spring Equinox in March. The following year, the celebration was moved to April.
How can I celebrate Earth Day?
I have celebrated Earth Day with large parties, and with just my family. Typically, we do something to help save our Gulf Shores. We have gathered trash along the beaches in our local area for several years, but this year, I am going smaller.
Earth Day Activities:
I wanted a way to upcycle some of the paper items we use each day. This is one of our seasons of birthdays, and as a result, we have a ton of tissue paper. It’s just wrinkly enough to not be able to reuse for a gift, but not torn. As a larger family, we also use a lot of paper towels, leaving us with a lot of paper towel tubes.
I wanted to do something that would be a good Earth Day activity for kids and adults. These little seed pods are the perfect Earth Day project.
Make an Earth Day Seed Pod:
Gather a few supplies and you will be ready to make ready to plant seed pods!
