DIY Religious Easter Decor
I am slowly working on adding Easter decor to the house, it’s slow going. Of course, I want new decorations, but I am struggling to find anything I love for a price I am willing to pay. I had just a few minutes the other day, so I quickly made some cute Rae Dunn style Easter eggs. These were SUPER easy to make, and I LOVE the way they turned out!
Make Your Own Rae Dunn Eggs:
I adore Rae Dunn’s collections, but I can’t ever seem to find them in store, and I refuse to pay what people want for them online. I decided to try to make my own Rae Dunn inspired Easter egg decals to decorate some eggs with.
Supplies:
SVG File {Use Code EASTEREGG to download it FREE}
Eggs
Step 1:
Download the Easter text SVG File, and upload it to Cricut Design Space.
Step 2:
Size the text to fit your eggs.
Step 3:
If you are using tattoo paper, you will need to flatten the SVG and send it to print then cut. {You will need to mirror it before you print it.} Follow the package instructions for printing and applying tattoo paper.
If you are using vinyl, send the SVG to cut as normal.
Step 4:
Prepare your eggs. I chose to use regular eggs. Of course I could leave farm fresh eggs on the counter through Easter, but my eggs have been in the refrigerator, so I needed to get the egg out of the shell. To do this, use a pin and carefully poke a hole in the top and bottom of the egg. Next, blow the insides of the egg into a bowl. {The eggs can be used for cooking} Finally soak the eggs in a bleach and water or vinegar and water mix to get the insides totally clean.
Step 5:
Apply the tattoos egg decals to dry eggs using the package instructions. Or, use transfer tape to apply vinyl Easter egg decals to the eggs.
Step 6:
Place in a bowl, or faux nest, and admire your work!
