Speak for the Trees
Earth Day Printables and DIY
Speak for the Trees, Earth Day Printable and DIY. Earth Day is this Wednesday. April 22, and my littler boys feel like we need to celebrate nearly every nationally recognized day. So, for Earth Day this year, we are passing out seeds to their classmates, packaged up in adorable little Truffula style straw “trees”.
Supplies:
Seeds (The Dollar Tree sells a few packages for a $1)
Striped Paper Straws, mine are from Celebration Lane
Poms
Glue Gun
Free Printable Tag
Have the kiddos help you put a few seeds in each straw and fold the bottom end closed. Then, put hot glue on the pom and carefully stick the pom on the top. Add the tag to each tree, or to a bucket of trees! (I used rice to hold the “trees” upright in the bucket. Voila! A simple and fun way to celebrate Earth Day!
If you don’t feel up to making the Truffula style trees, you can always add the tag to a seed pod too!
