Girls Night Out Crafting Party. A few weeks ago a few moms from my younger sons’ school came to my husband’s office after hours to craft 75 graduation caps for the entire 5th grade class. It was tedious, but so much fun to have girl time without the kids or hubbies. So, we all decided we wanted to have another Girls Night Out Crafting Party again, but with no real guidelines for our crafts. Everyone could just create freely. We got together this week, and hosted a crafting and DIY party with Scotch® Brand and Command™ products. We had a blast! And the best part, no burned finger tips from super hot glue guns like last time. 😉
Before the party, we all looked to Pinterest for inspiration. We thought it would be fun to make several 4th of July and Patriotic themed crafts. We decided to make simple Patriotic photo frames, flower boxes, and ribbon wrapped mason jars for tea lights. Once we knew what we were making, I ran to my local Walmart, and raided the craft aisle! It was one stop shopping, I was able to purchase the frames, paint, ribbon, and Scotch® Brand Permanent Mounting Tape, Scotch® Brand Double Sided Tape, and Command™ Picture Hanging tabs all in the craft section of Walmart.
My sweet husband built everyone a plain wooden flower box from left over wood we have at home the day of our GNO Crafting Party, and I created a free printable for our picture frames. Then, I gathered up some simple treats, and took them to the office. (My husband and I own a financial advisory firm, so I am lucky enough to have access to the office after hours for GNOs)
I set up our crafting party in our break room. One side of the room had simple snacks (drinks were kept in the fridge, you know keeping things classy) and the other side was set up with all the craft supplies. I shopped my house for decor for the food table, and I made some yummy biscuits and blueberry butter, and marshmallows because I knew my friends loved those treats. The other goodies were store bought and simple.
I covered the work table in inexpensive paper, and set out a variety of paints, paint brushes, wooden stars, and Scotch® Brand Permanent Mounting Tape and Scotch® Brand Double Sided Tape. Everyone took home a package of Command™ Picture Hanging tabs too. (I love those things!) Scotch® Brand products are so wonderful to use…they have a product for every project.
Everyone painted their frames and flower boxes, and snacked and chatted…then, we used the Mounting Tape to attach the wooden stars. Seriously, it was so simple! I promise this is my new go to for projects. (No more hot glue gun burns, yes please!) We used the Mounting Tape to secure ribbon to mason jars for tea light too. Everyone loved how easy it was to use the Mounting Tape.
We chatted, and snacked, and then crafted, and repeated throughout the night. Our night out lasted 4 hours, and it was absolute soul food. Everyone was thrilled with their simple craft projects. We are already planning our next one.
