Reindeer Treat Printable
My younger three boys are in Elementary School, and at that age, it’s still socially acceptable to bring in a holiday treat for your classmates. My guys ask several weeks ahead of the holidays for their class treats and offer suggestions. Sometimes they have very specific requests, and other times they are flexible and let me run with whatever I have in mind. A few weeks ago the little one asked me if I could send him with “silly reindeer treats?” Of course I can buddy! I made these fun “silly reindeer treat” printables and added a vending machine capsule nose full of red hot candies. We have to be aware of food allergies in his class, so we opted for Red Hots, but, truly, any red candy would work. Red Jelly Bellys, red M&M’s, red Sixlets…
I shared a sneak peek of this Silly Reindeer Treat printable on Instagram last night and I had a lot of questions.
I used 1” vending machine capsules for the treats. The 1″ ones are the smaller ones, I bought both just be sure. I ordered several hundred from eBay a few weeks ago, but, I tested this design and tomorrow’s free printable with vending machine capsules from the quarter machines at Dollar Tree. It’s a little more expensive, but you can be sure to have all of your caps in time. If you aren’t able to find capsules, you could put some candy in a cello baggie and hole punch a small hole in the nose, then feed the extra bag through the hole and tie it off in the back. You could even use a red lollipop!
I used a glue dot to hold the candy on the paper, and it has held very well.
My son wrote his name on the backs of the cards, before I added the noses.
I made two versions of the tag, one without text, and one with Merry & Bright across the antlers. I will link both options below.
If Silly Reindeer printable tags aren’t your style, I will have another vending machine capsule printable tomorrow too. And, if you love them, like I do, I will keep designing them!
As always, please remember that our free printables are for personal use only. They can not be edited, altered, or resold.
