Holiday Gifts with My Peeps Cards

Holiday Gifts with My Peeps Cards

Everyday Party Magazine Holiday Gifts with My Peeps Cards

Each year for the holidays my boys, sometimes my hubby, and I make gifts for their many teachers.   Until recently, they all went to the same small Christian school, so the cards to the teachers were always Christmas cards.  Now, we have three in elementary school, and one in high school, and many, many teachers of many, many holiday celebrations…I planned to use my own Season’s Greetings tags for the teachers gifts, but Laura Kelly Designs surprised me with the most adorable and fabulous Merry Holiday cards this week! I adore her My Peeps line of stationery from Expressionery!  So, instead, we are giving our beloved teachers small holiday gifts with My Peeps Cards!

Since a few of the boys’ teachers follow EPM on social media, I can’t tell you what is going in the cute little felt bags from Target’s Dollar bin.  Generally, though, the kids help me make sweet treats.  In years past, we have made homemade s’mores kits with delicious homemade marshmallows and gourmet candies, hot cocoa sticks with homemade marshmallows, even homemade Bailey’s Irish Cream for our favorite teachers.

The cards are blank inside, so I wrote Merry Christmas with a red Sharpie and asked the little boys to write their names inside the cards.  They all signed the card for the school secretary and principal, as well as their shared teachers. (art, music, and PE)  Each boy signed their own teacher’s card.

I decided not to use the envelopes provided with the cards, so the adorable little picture could be seen right away.  The boys loved the card, and were so excited they were each on it, so I knew they would be disappointed to have their pictures hidden in an envelope too!  I used a small hole punch near the top corner and looped some red baker’s twine through it with a bell attached, then I attached it to the handle of the little bag.   We filled the bag with our treats, and added a little tissue paper, then slid the card in at an angle so most of the boys could be seen peeking out.
