Summer Boredom Busters

I am so excited to share this with you all today! Every summer I fill a small box with goodies and activities that I have gathered over the school year, and I print up word games, and science experiments, and I spend forever working on this box. I can honestly tell you these boxes have saved my sanity a few times…but finding appropriate activities for the kids is super time consuming. I get overwhelmed with choices…but, recently, my dear friend over at 733Blog asked me if I would like to review a collaborative Summer Boredom Busters printable set. It’s over 80 pages of AMAZING activities! I have had to print duplicates of several already for the boys and their cousins!

This set of printables has everything! Science projects, writing journals, fun activities, a calendar, a coloring page, you name it, these ladies thought of it! My guys are older, so I added scissors, glue and all the supplies they would need to assemble their Boredom Busters. I did hole punch several sets and add them to pocket folders. We added text to the front to the folders so they would know what was in each one right away.

My Summer Boredom Busters kit was about $40, including the printable set. I spent about $20 on a box, some fresh new crayons, a small Lego set, some sunglasses, sponge bombs (and sponges for them to DIY their own), and a fun STEM set I found on clearance. I love being able to pull out fresh and exciting new activities for the kids when the summer doldrums strike, I especially love when they get to learn while they play!
