This review is based strictly on my opinion.  Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed above.  I was provided the sample free of charge by the company or PR agency and I have given my honest opinion.  No other type of compensation was received for this review.

Simple Holiday Cookies.  The hubs and I decided to host a Holiday Open House party at our home this weekend for his clients.  He owns his own financial advisory firm and we thought it would be great to have his clients come to our home and mingle, and socialize together…and it will be great, but, oh the pressure!

We opted for an open house in lieu of a sit down event for a few reasons, but one of the big ones is, it’s just not who we are.  We are not especially fancy, sit down event kind of people.  Later in the evening, we are opening our home to our friends and family, so we also wanted the party decor and set up to be able to serve both sets of guests and parties.

Rather than styling a dessert table, and food buffet, we decided to have a cookie bar, a chili bar, a hot cocoa station, and a cold drink station.  But, a cookie bar means lots of cookies, lots of cookies means lots of time…this mom does not have lots of time….but, I do have lots of cookie sprinkles from The Baker’s Party Shop, and I can buy pre-made cookie dough. (Or, I already have and keep it in my fridge)

I took my tube o’cookie dough, and scooped little balls out.  Then, I rolled the dough in Red Sanding Sugar, Classic Christmas Jimmies Sprinkles Mix, and Classic Christmas Sparkling Sugar.

Next, I placed them on my cookie sheet, and flattened them with a jar lid.

I baked them according to package directions and let them cool on my cooling rack.  Voila!  Perfect holiday cookies for the open house in no time!
