Simple Chocolate Croissants

Simple Chocolate Croissants

Y’all, I cannot even believe I am writing a post this simple, but it is one of my family’s favorite treats, and my friends always love it too.  Seriously there is not a “recipe” or life hack out there more simple than these simple chocolate croissants…promise! I recently slaved for 15 whole seconds over the microwave making them for our Mother’s Day Celebration.

Ingredients:

Store bought croissants. I love the mini ones from Sam’s Club.  You get 20 for less than $6, I put all but 4-6 in freezer bags and take them out as I need them

Chocolate.  Chocolate chips, chocolate candy bars…for this particular post, I used Lindt truffles…yeah, those are so going to happen again. Just use a smooth chocolate, I don’t think anything chewy or crunchy would be great in the croissant, but, if that’s your thing, then go for it.

Tear a small pocket hole in the top/side of the croissant.  Don’t use a knife, it doesn’t make a good pocket.

Add the chocolate.  I had to cut the Lindt Truffle in half.

Heat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.  That’s it!  Seriously yummy, and crazy simple chocolate croissants! And you can impress your friends and family now too!
