My kids started in person school again this morning for the first time in over a year at 0:dark-thirty. So, to say they were unenthused would be quite the understatement. But, they did get out of bed to a warm breakfast. And, this simple and delicious breakfast idea is definitely one they can make themselves while they get ready for school, and take along on their walk to the bus in the mornings!
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Easy Breakfast Recipes
Generally, I don’t eat breakfast foods at breakfast times, even though I love breakfast food! My boys are the same way. We just don’t want to wake up and eat right away.
But, we love to enjoy a bowl of this Easy Salted Caramel Bread Pudding Recipe mid day. We also love this YUMMY Easy Banana Bread Recipe for a quick grab and go breakfast idea.
Delicious Breakfast Idea
This breakfast recipe is so easy, just about anyone can make it. And it can bake while you get dressed and ready for the day! Plus, you don’t need any special kitchen tools or ingredients.
Because we were baking these bagel sandwiches, we used day old bagels. And they were perfect!
The boys loved this simple breakfast idea, and they were able to wrap their sandwich in a napkin and enjoy it on their walk to the bus stop without having to worry about the egg, cheese, or bacon sliding out of the bagel. This would be a great low mess breakfast to eat in the car as well!
And, it could easily be made in a toaster oven if you don’t have access to a traditional oven. We have this Breville one from our office and we love it!
