Easter Traditions. Easter is one of my favorite holidays…the symbolic new beginnings, the fresh air, the sweet pastel colors…but, and I’m not even kidding, I love hunting for Easter Eggs. As a child, we would gather at my Mimi’s house and after the kids were finished with their hunt, and playing with the toys in their baskets, the adults got to hunt for eggs. My mom, aunt, and uncle would race to find the golden egg, and claim victory for the year. I loved watching them hunt, and looked forward to being able to hunt as an adult one day too. Thankfully, this tradition has carried on, except, we rotate hosting, so everyone can enjoy the fun. This year, it’s my turn, and I am super excited!I feel like the entire Tampa Bay area is anxiously awaiting the opening of the new World Market Store in Clearwater. I couldn’t handle the wait, and took the hubby on an adventure to our closest store, in Orlando! I could have wandered the store for days, even the hubs enjoyed himself. We walked up and down every aisle at least twice, and filled a cart and a half full of Easter goodies. I fell in love with the sweet Nestler Vintage style products for the kiddos. I even bought some of the hollow eggs to fill for the adult hunt! I have been eying the jade colored cake plates and decor, and I may have squealed a little when I saw the cake plate and darling rooster! Easter candies and treats made their way into the carts, and so did sweet little Easter shaped pasta noodles. As I wandered, I thought I should gather some hard to find foods and use them for our Easter brunch and even in some of the Easter eggs. I purchased the Nestler vintage plates and juice cups for the kids, and the tea towel that matches for myself. 😉 I picked up a few sweet cupcake cups, for little candies, or fresh fruit and pasta salad! I also fell in love with the Glass Yorkshire Dispenser, so I picked it up for lemon water.
Each holiday, our family comes together at our house for a late lunch, early dinner, and Easter is no exception. Our menus rarely change; ham, deviled eggs, southern biscuits, pasta salad, fresh fruit, and a delicious cake for dessert…a traditional Southern food supper. My son makes his semi-famous lemonade, and I make a few mixed drinks for the adults. This year, I have been playing with Moscow Mule flavors, and I am currently drinking (maybe too many) strawberry lemonade Moscow Mules as often as I can!

While I was at World Market, I was determined to find egg fillers that I wouldn’t find anywhere else. And the larger sized Nestler Eggs are PERFECT for larger treats. I grabbed some New York Seltzer Water, (also good for virgin Moscow Mules) some special candies, and more. I literally could have filled at least one more cart, but…I had to be a responsible adult. One of my favorite tips for hiding eggs for adults is to hide them in plain sight. Everyone is so focused on looking in the most obscure locations. The Nestler Eggs are great, because they also double as decor. When we hide the eggs, they are only hidden indoors, and in common areas of the house, so no bedrooms. The hall closet is always one of the first places everyone looks, but under the dishwasher is a great place for a little egg with cash in it. The adult egg hunt usually has 3-4 eggs per adult, and they have cash, gift cards, bath bubbles, special candies, and even little bottles of liquor in them. I am just tickled to be able to continue this Easter tradition for our family!
