Popcorn Box Blog Hop 2016. I love Laura Kelly’s Popcorn Box Blog Hop! It is one of my favorite parts of October each year. It’s so fun to see a group of bloggers that are sent the same products create such vastly different projects.
This year I turned my popcorn box into a small Boo box. I began by covering it with yellow card stock on all four sides. I had to take the box apart for this, but it hot glues back together easily, and I cut off the scalloped top. Then, I cut 3 haunted houses out of grey card stock with my NEW CRICUT EXPLORE AIR 2 (This thing is AH-MAZ-ING) and attached them to three sides of the popcorn box. I left one side of the box uncovered so my boys could write spooky messages for their cousins (the recipients of the Boo box)
I filled the Boo box with yummy snacks and treats, including Caramel Creams candies, Cow Tales candies, microwave popcorn, Slurpee coupons from 7-11, fun tree branch Halloween pencils for the kids, and non candy treats from Oriental Trading Company. I also added a few Redbox codes.
I really liked the box, but it needed a tag! Pineapple Paper Co created an adorable free printable Trick or Treat tag (download it below) for me to use. But, I didn’t want to use baker’s twine or ribbon to attach it, so I fired up my new Cricut once more and cut some small black bats. I hot glued one to a clothes pin painted black, it was PERFECT!
Many thanks to Laura Kelly Designs for organizing this again this year! And to the sponsors; AdornIt – World Market – Kunin Group – Udderly Smooth – Tombow USA – Expressionery – Ellison/Sizzix – Expo International – Oriental Trading
