The Best Father’s Day Gift in the Galaxy

My hubby is a huge Star Wars fan, and even my own Dad liked Star Wars. I feel like it’s a good guess to say that a lot of dads like Star Wars and would even like a fun Star Wars themed gift for Father’s Day. So, my boys, with a little help from my Cricut and me made their dad the best Father’s Day gift in the Galaxy.

Star Wars Gifts for Dad

Cricut Design Space has tons of fun Star Wars cut files. You could very easily make a Star Wars shirt, back pack, cups, and more for dad. The boys and I thought it would be fun to make a set up pub glasses and a couple of shot glasses for their dad. We could have used Cricut’s Premium Outdoor Vinyl on the glasses, and they would have held up well. However, we wanted a more permanent option, so we used etching cream and etched the glasses. Star Wars Father’s Day

My husband enjoys watching the Star Wars movies, so we often have a Star Wars movie marathon on Father’s Day. He loves the series so much, we almost always give him Star Wars gifts. And, this year won’t be any different!

Supplies For Making Star Wars Glasses

You will need a few supplies and safety goggles and gloves to etch glass.

I used images of Boba Fett and Darth Vader for our project. Since we were working with shot glasses the cuts were small. Carefully apply the vinyl as a stencil to the glass and then cover the areas of the glass that you don’t want to etch. Put on your gloves and goggles and apply the etching cream to the glass. Follow the package instructions, and rinse after the allotted time frame.
