Laissez les bon temps rouler! One of my bucket list trips is a trip to NOLA for Mardi Gras. Actually, I would like to go to NOLA for Mardi Gras and when it’s not Mardi Gras. But, until I can get there, I will enjoy Fat Tuesday at home in my DIY Mardi Gras Shirt.
If you decide to make a purchase through my links, I will be paid a small commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional.
Mardi Gras Outfits
I have only made a few Mardi Gras shirts for myself and a few friends. I am not a super flashy person, so I think my Fat Tuesday Outfit would be a DIY Mardi Gras T-Shirt and jeans.
Last year for SVG Saturday Week 10 – Mardi Gras, I shared two fun SVG files. I just pulled the Y’all Need Ash Wednesday shirt out of the back of my closet to start wearing.

If you want to make your very own Mardi Gras Shirt, you only need a few supplies and a few minutes. And, you probably have most of the supplies on hand already.

Iron On:
STEP 1:
Upload the SVG into Design Space, and size to fit. Then, send the project to the machine to cut. {If you are using Iron On, don’t forget to mirror the cut, and place the Iron On on the cutting mat shiny side down}
STEP 2:
Weed the excess Iron On, and pre-heat the EasyPress. See Cricut’s recommended guidelines for time and temperature settings.
STEP 3:
If you’re applying the Iron On to fabric or canvas, put the fabric on the EasyPress Mat and press the fabric before applying the Iron On.
