DIY Ghostbusters Slime
DIY Ghostbusters Slime. My boys are OBSESSED with all things Ghostbusters right now. So, to help build excitement (or drive myself a tad more crazy) we have watched the original movies all week, made our own Ghostbusting shirts, and even made slime! This little project is a throwback to my days in the classroom, and it never failed me then, and it didn’t fail me this week!
Unlike when I was teaching, this week I gave the boys the supplies and the directions and let them DIY it alone.
Supplies:
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Liquid Starch
1 Cup White School Glue
4-8 Drops of Green Food Coloring (or any color)
Pour all ingredients into a bowl and mix with your hands. You (or the kids) will get messy, so wear appropriate clothes. Once all of the ingredients are mixed together well, the slime won’t be sticky anymore.
My kids played with their slime for HOURS the first day, and have continued to play with it everyday since they made it! One of the boys even added some glitter to his. They REALLY loved sticking the Ray Stantz action figure from ThinkGeek into the slime.
Store in an airtight container.
