DIY Tic Tac Toe Board Game

We are currently on a big trip for hockey camps and evaluations. Which means so.many.hours.in.the.car! I hate letting the boys spend all of those hours on their phones. So, even though they are all bigger now, I still make special travel activity bags for them. This year I made a family bag too, and included games we could all enjoy. One of our favorite time-killer games is tic tac toe. We play it at the doctors offices, waiting at restaurants…so I made a diy tic tac toe board game. And, now we have a travel tic tac toe board for in the car! No pen or paper needed!

Make a Giant Tic Tac Toe Board and Pieces:

To make this large tic tac toe game, you will need a few minutes of actual work, a lot of down time, and a couple of supplies! And, if you are like me, you probably have all the supplies you need at home already.

Supplies for Chipboard Tic Tac Toe Game:

I actually made a couple of these fun diy tic tac toe boards. Since we are on our trip, my niece and nephew are at our house with my sister watching Ed. And I have a little drawer full of fun stuff just for them, and I thought they might like their own tic tac toe game too!

This project takes several hours to cut, so be prepared.

Step 1

Download SVG. You can find it here, use code TICTACTOE to download it FREE

Step 2

Upload it to Design Space. I sliced each section so it would fit on chipboard.

Step 3

Send it to cut. I wouldn’t resize it because of the line sizes. I did omit the second square when I made both of mine. Originally I thought it would be a good lid…
