Backyard BBQ. Summer has officially begun, and my kids have the pool hair and tan lines to prove it! We love summer, and the laid back vibe that comes with it. One of the things my kids get super excited about each summer is finding their names and our family’s names on the Share a Coke Coca-Cola™ bottles. It’s so fun to see them all searching for names on the bottles, and with over 1000 names, you are sure to find one for everyone. Each year when school gets out, we head to Target for fun summer toys, games, Coca-Cola, and grilling foods. Since we recently finished our new outdoor entertaining space, we have grilled nearly every meal. We have had 5 or more BBQ’s on the party deck, and I don’t see us slowing down any time soon! In fact, we hosted a fun School’s Out BBQ for a few friends and family this weekend, and it was a BLAST! While we were at Target, we stocked up on party supplies from the Dollar Spot, paper plates, napkins, plasticware, and lots of food for the grill. We also picked up Share A Coke bottles with our guests’ names on the bottles. We even found some with last names on them, so fun, right?? It’s so awesome to Share An Ice Cold Coke with friends and family. And, they are on Cartwheel for 20% off 20 oz Share a Coke bottles right now! Yay for saving money at Target. Every summer, we grill a delicious bacon and blue cheese stuffed burger. We get super fresh, soft burger buns and top the burgers with sautéed onions. This is a friends and family favorite burger at our house, and we get requests for it often. Since it’s such a popular burger at our house, we decided to make it for our School’s Out BBQ! We also grilled up some corn on the cob, and I cut fresh watermelon, and potatoes for thin cut fries. And of course we serve everything with ice cold Coca-Cola! I even put canning jars full of ice in a bucket full of ice with our Share a Coke Coca-Cola bottles.
[yumprint-recipe id=’103′]My family loves to play Jenga and Tic Tac Toe, so we made giant lawn versions of each game. Tic Tac Toe was a party favorite, because everyone could play. Some of the guests even “called their shots” with the frisbee markers before they tossed it. Others, like me, can’t throw a frisbee very well, and simply placed their marker in the spot they wanted to play.
We are already planning our next backyard BBQ with more ice cold Share a Coke Coca-Cola bottles. How will you Share a Coke this summer? Find tons more party inspiration here!
