My little niece loves flip flops as much as I do. And, just like me, she can never have too many! So, when I found these cute little pineapple flip flops at the store, I tossed them in the cart. Then, I saw some coordinating fabric at another store. And, I decided we would make some DIY Scrap Fabric Flip Flops together.

DIY Scrap Fabric Flip Flops
These darling little flip flops were super easy to make, and I have even used this same DIY as a pool party activity and favor in the past!
You only need a few supplies and about thirty minutes to make these cute little flip-flops. I bought inexpensive fat quarter fabric, but we only used 1/2 of each piece of fabric for one pair of flip flops.
First, rip into 1/2″ strips about 6 inches long. I used scissors to start the tear.
Then, fold the fabric into a “U” shape, and tuck it under the strap of the flip flop. Next, tuck the tails of the fabric over the flip flop strap and into the U, and pull it tight. Repeat this step until the straps are covered in fabric.
Finally, trim the fabric so it won’t hang onto the ground.
