My husband and I typically spend Valentine’s Day together and enjoy a quiet lunch before we celebrate with our boys. However, this year will be a little different. So, I have been thinking of ways that we can still celebrate the holiday, safely and without our children that are taking online classes this year. And, I think I have come up with the most wonderful Valentine’s Day Date Idea!
Valentine’s Day Ideas
We have already decided to have a little Valentine’s Day Party at Home with the boys. And, while I am really looking forward to our evening, I also know I need to make sure my husband and I have time together too.
Golf Cart Day Date
My husband and I really love our golf cart. We bought it this summer as a fun way for our kids to get out of the house, but once they went back to online school, we found ourselves riding around during the day. We will drive it for snacks, lunches, and just for a little escape from the day.
We even dressed it up for my niece’s Winter Birthday Celebration. And, with that in mind, I decided I will decorate the cart for Valentine’s Day, and we will have a fun little day date near the pond.
I will gather a soft red blanket, a few pillows, and fill our picnic basket with a small meat, cheese, and fruit charcuterie board. I will also bring the ingredients for one of our favorite cocktails. Finally, I will order some cupcakes from an amazing little cupcake shop near our house.
I am hopeful that we can just spend the afternoon together feeding the ducks, enjoying a simple meal.
